This set of scenes takes place in the starting area for the Guild Wars 2 norn race. What I wanted to do was show off the norn family dynamic, specifically what would be daily life for a family of rough-and-tumble spirit-worshipping adventurers. A fan captured the scenes and interactions, providing a better idea of how all of this came together in a live game environment. (http://youtu.be/6CyqGJHTjes?t=2m8s)
Scene 11: "S27 -- INTRO"
JACK (NORN)
There. Big, isn't it? Kill it and dad will have
a head for his smokehouse.
JACK (NORN)
Come on. I know where the biggest ram in Tyria
is.

Scene 12: "S27 -- INTRO"
CASSIE (NORN)
We should do this outside. Mom and dad will be
mad if we get honey everywhere.
HELENA (NORN)
No, it's part of the Bear ritual. Spread it on
the floor. Now, speak the words.
JACK (NORN)
Bear, we seek to prove our strength. Bear, send
us one of your own to challenge!

Scene 13: "S31 -- COLLECT HEAD"
JACK (NORN)
Wow, what a big ram. No wonder dad wants the
head.
JACK (NORN)
I can't wait to show him the head. He'll howl
when he sees this.

Scene 14: "S31 -- DAD ON THE HUNT"
JACK (NORN)
Did you find out where the honey was?
HELENA (NORN)
Dad's talking about getting an animal head for
the smokehouse.
JACK (NORN)
That giant, mean ram behind the house would be
perfect. I'll go get his head and impress dad.
HELENA (NORN)
You don't know how to hunt yet. If you die out
there, dad will kill us both.
frustrated, but whining
JACK (NORN)
You worry too much. I'll let some local hunters
kill it, I just want the head.

Scene 15: "S31 -- KID PRESENTS HEAD"
JACK (NORN)
Dad! I brought you a ram's head for your
smokehouse.
HAMAR
Jafri! You know you're not ready to hunt. Your
mom would kill me if you got hurt.
JACK (NORN)
I was careful, dad. Someone killed the ram and
let me take the head.
HAMAR
You met a generous hunter, son, but you did
something dangerous. Next time, we hunt
together.
JACK (NORN)
Really? So, do you like it? Do you like the
head?
HAMAR
I do, son. It'll make a fine addition to the
smokehouse. proud
